Jobs in Czechia with accommodation: how to find work and what to check in 2026

A job in Czechia with accommodation can make relocation much easier, especially if you are moving from another region or coming from abroad. However, the phrase “accommodation provided” does not automatically tell you how much you will pay, where you will live or what happens to your room when the job ends. Treat the employment offer and the accommodation as two connected but separate arrangements.

This 2026 guide explains where to find jobs with housing, how to verify an offer and which conditions to request in writing before travelling.

What “a job with accommodation” can actually mean

  • Accommodation arranged: the employer or agency finds a place, but you may pay the full cost.
  • Accommodation allowance: the employer covers part of the price and you pay the rest.
  • Free accommodation: no rent is charged, but utilities, services or a deposit may still apply.
  • Company hostel or shared flat: the right to stay may depend on the employment relationship and can end quickly after the job finishes.

Never assume that “provided” means “free”. The written conditions are what matter.

Where to look for jobs in Czechia with accommodation

Use established job portals, the Labour Office of the Czech Republic and verified employers or employment agencies. On Jobscentr.eu, start with the job search or go directly to vacancies with accommodation. These offers are common in manufacturing, logistics, warehouses, food production, construction, agriculture and hospitality.

Search by profession and location, not only by the phrase “job with accommodation”. Check the publication date, employer, workplace, contract type, pay, shifts and the exact housing arrangement for every vacancy.

What to verify before accepting

1. Your actual employer

Ask for the official company name, identification number (IČO) and registered address of the entity that will sign your contract. Search it in ARES and the Czech Public Register. If an agency recruits you, also verify its permit in the official MPSV agency register.

2. The employment contract and place of work

A Czech employment contract must be in writing and, under the Labour Code, must specify at least the type of work, place or places of work and starting date. Before travelling, also request written information about pay, working hours, shifts, probation and expected deductions. Compare the advertisement with every document you are asked to sign.

3. The complete accommodation price

Ask for the monthly or nightly price and what it includes. Check whether there is a deposit and separate charges for utilities, internet, laundry, cleaning or transport. Find out whether the amount changes when you work fewer shifts. If housing is deducted from wages, request written terms and check the deduction on your payslip.

4. Address and real living conditions

Request the exact address, current photos and the operator’s name. Confirm the number of people per room, kitchen and bathroom facilities, laundry, internet, visitor rules and quiet hours. The photos must show the place where you will actually stay.

5. Transport to every shift

Cheap housing can be expensive in practice if it is far from the workplace. Calculate travel time, connections for early and night shifts and ticket costs. If company transport is offered, verify the route, schedule and any fee.

6. What happens when employment ends

Ask whether the accommodation depends on the job and how much time you have to leave after termination. Check the notice rules, deposit return and whether you can stay during sickness or while changing jobs.

Calculate your real take-home amount

The highest hourly rate is not always the best offer. Compare what remains after all regular costs:

net pay − accommodation − transport − mandatory fees = money left for you.

Use guaranteed hours rather than a theoretical maximum including overtime and bonuses. Confirm whether the advertised amount is gross or net and which bonuses are guaranteed.

Agency jobs with accommodation

An employment agency can be your employer and temporarily assign you to another company. Housing may be provided by the agency, the user company or an external operator. Clarify who receives your payment, who handles defects and complaints, and whether you receive a separate accommodation document.

A company’s existence in a business register does not by itself prove that it is licensed to mediate employment. Verify the current scope and validity of its permit in the MPSV register.

Jobs and accommodation for foreign workers

Your citizenship and residence status determine whether you need work authorisation. EU citizens follow a different regime from third-country nationals, and specific rules may apply to temporary protection holders. Check the current process before starting work on the official MPSV foreign employment pages or with the Ministry of the Interior. Housing does not replace the legal right to work or reside in Czechia.

Warning signs

  • The recruiter refuses to identify the employer or provide exact work and housing addresses.
  • You must pay a large advance without a contract and receipt.
  • “Free housing” is promised, but additional costs are not disclosed in writing.
  • Work or housing conditions change substantially after arrival.
  • You are pressured to sign documents you do not understand.
  • Someone wants to keep your passport or identity document.
  • Wage deductions are not explained or no payslip is provided.

One missing detail does not automatically prove fraud. Several inconsistencies combined with a refusal to answer in writing are a strong reason to pause. See also our guide to eight warning signs of a suspicious job offer.

Checklist before travelling

  • I have a draft contract or a written summary of all working conditions.
  • I know the real employer, workplace address and contact person.
  • I have the housing address, price and rules in writing.
  • I know how many people share the room and how I will reach every shift.
  • I understand every deduction, deposit and refund rule.
  • I know how quickly I must leave if the job ends.
  • I keep my own copies of contracts and documents.

If reality does not match the offer

Document the differences: keep the advertisement and messages, photograph the accommodation and request a written explanation. Do not sign false or unclear documents. Labour-law violations can be reported to the State Labour Inspection Office; an immediate danger or suspected crime should be reported to the Czech Police.
