Agro Division
AGRA GROUP a.s. was established in 1992 in Střelské Hoštice. From the very beginning, the company focused on activities related to fertilizer production, both for home gardeners and for agricultural use.
Today, the Agro Division of AGRA GROUP a.s. is fully oriented toward agriculture. Thanks to its wide portfolio of predominantly innovative products, the company ranks among the leading fertilizer manufacturers in the Czech Republic.
An important part of the company’s business activities is the provision of professional advisory services, particularly comprehensive consulting in the field of field crop cultivation, delivered through its own network of regional specialists.
Among the company’s key activities is long-term cooperation with research institutes and agricultural universities on research projects and grants in the areas of plant nutrition and stimulation. The most promising research results are promptly implemented into agricultural practice in the form of new technologies and products.
The accumulated knowledge, research outcomes, and many years of experience of the company’s specialists in field and specialty crop nutrition will continue to form a solid foundation for the future development of AGRA GROUP.
Food Division
A significant milestone in the company’s business history was the acquisition of a former dairy plant in Nový Bydžov in 2008. This step enabled AGRA GROUP to expand its activities into the food industry.
The purpose of this strategic investment was to make the most effective use of the company’s accumulated expertise and established relationships with primary agricultural producers, and to use these as a foundation for building a production base capable of developing innovative products in the food sector as well.
The Food Division operates a production facility in Nový Bydžov, where it provides post-harvest treatment of agricultural crops, packaging and storage of agricultural commodities, drying, concentration, and blending of food products. In the future, the division also plans to launch its own innovative food products.
Among the company’s strategic priorities is not only the gradual introduction of new innovative products within the Czech Republic, but also their stronger expansion into international markets.
