The Velké Popovice Brewery has been operating in the Czech Republic since 1874 and specializes in the production of traditional Czech beer. The Velkopopovický Kozel brand, recognizable by its iconic goat logo, has become one of the most popular beer brands both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The brewery offers a wide range of beers, including pale draft beers, lagers, dark beers, and non-alcoholic varieties.

The brewery is part of the Plzeňský Prazdroj group and, since 2016, has been owned by the international company Asahi Breweries. Located approximately 25 km southeast of Prague, the brewery combines modern technologies with traditional brewing craftsmanship. It also includes a visitor center with a tour route where guests can explore the brewhouse, cellars, and taste unfiltered beer straight from the source.
