3 Tips for Successful Employee Recruitment
Finding the right personnel is becoming an increasing challenge. The labor market is evolving dynamically, competition between companies is growing, and job seekers' expectations are constantly changing. Simply posting a job ad and waiting for ideal candidates to respond is no longer enough. If you want to attract the right people, you need to approach recruitment both strategically and proactively. Successful employee recruitment requires not only thoughtful communication but also effective selection processes and the ability to offer candidates attractive working conditions. In this article, we look at three key tips to help you attract quality employees and retain them in the long term.
The right mix of employee benefits
Employee benefits have become a traditional tool for attracting new team members. However, employers should adapt their offer to the current expectations of potential employees. Only then can recruitment be truly effective. In this regard, let’s refer to the 2024 report on the use of leisure benefits by Benefit Plus. The main trends are as follows.
Health comes first
We only have one health, and Czech workers are well aware of that. In fact, 55.91% of employees used health-related benefits last year. This trend understandably began during the COVID pandemic. Since the record year of 2021 (65.41%), it has consistently remained a top priority. Therefore, we recommend focusing on health when recruiting employees. For context, in 2019, before the pandemic, 50.06% of workers used this type of benefit.
Offer travel benefits as part of recruitment
Interest in travel has seen a noticeable increase. Compared to the previous year, usage rose by 3.51 percentage points to 27.51%—the highest in the past five years. In 2019, travel benefits were used by 27.47%, but in 2020 this fell sharply to 18.28%. Since then, the share has been gradually increasing year by year.
Use AI in recruitment
Artificial intelligence is shaping the world, and the HR field is no exception. One of the most advanced uses is in software programs designed for automated communication—so-called chatbots.
But that’s not where the potential of AI ends. Its application in HR is much broader. For instance, software now exists that can scan the entire internet to identify potential candidates, collect and match data, and consolidate it into a web-based application for recruiters.
